Debby has lived in Montrose since 1993 and she and her husband John, raised 2 boys here. She has a BS in Business and a minor in Biology/Chemistry. Her background is in social work and medical administration. She started work at the Recreation District as the Business Operations/Project Coordinator, during COVID, a very challenging time for any organization. She found the Recreation District to have overcome the COVID challenges and has rebounded dramatically, continuing to serve the community by being the “safest place to play”! Her newfound career has been rewarding and fun. She states; “our mission to FUNdamentally improve lives by building community in fun, engaging ways, and by providing excellent parks and recreation facilities, activities and services” fits in well with her mission to help improve the lives of the people in our town. She continues to enjoy spending all of her free time in the San Juans, hiking and ATVing.
