Youth Baseball and Softball

Take part in America's favorite pastime!  The MRD summer ball programs do not conflict with the spring soccer program.  Kids will learn teamwork, eye-hand coordination and sportsmanship.  League fees include the cost of uniform shirts that all participants get to keep at season's end.  The MRD summer Baseball & Softball Programs are perfect for both first timers and kids who have played before.   Program fee assistance are available to children who qualify.  

Youth Baseball/Softball & T-Ball Schedules 

Youth Baseball/Softball Leagues (Ages 6 - 14)

  • Practice Days: 2x a week until games start  M/W or T/TH

  • Game Dates:  June 15th - July 18th Games may be on any night Monday - Thursday
  • Times:  5:30-6:30, 6:30-7:30, 7:30-8:30 pm

T-Ball League (Ages 5-6) 

Players will receive lots of repetition in throwing, catching, hitting in a fun laid back environment. Each team will meet twice per week including 4 games through out the season. Scholarships are available to children who qualify.  

Ages:  5-6 years old

  • Practice Days:  1-2x a week M - TH 5:30-7:30 pm

Intro to T-Ball (Ages 4 - 5) 

This is a great way to introduce your 4 and 5 year old to baseball/softball. We will have three 45 minute long clinics to introduce basic skills in a fun, laid back environment. This is perfect for those who want to play but aren't quite ready for a full season of T-Ball. All clinics will be on the indoor turf at the Montrose Field House.

Softball Pitching Clinic (Ages 10-14) 

Whether you’re a pitching pro or just learning the ropes, this 3-day pitching clinic is your chance to level up your
game, learn new skills, and have a blast on the mound!

  • Dates: May 26th-28th
  • Time: 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Rockies Skills Challenge (Ages 6 - 13) 

This is an exciting program that can take a boy or girl from the local competition testing their skills in base running, batting, and throwing to a sectional event, culminating at CocaCola All Star Park in Lakewood.
