Amber grew up on the Western Slope. From a young age, she was passionate about swimming, starting with the Ouray Screaming Eels Swim Team and later commuting to Montrose High School to continue her competitive swimming through her high school years. Amber became a certified lifeguard at 15 and worked as one throughout her college years. Amber pursued higher education at Colorado Mesa University and Intellitec Colleges, where she earned an Associate’s degree in Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy. She and her partner, Terry, have two children, ages 16 and 4. Both Amber and Terry, who also grew up in the area, are dedicated to raising their family on the Western Slope, where they enjoy an active lifestyle. Amber loves outdoor activities such as swimming, hiking, biking, camping, and fishing. She’s also an avid music lover and enjoys attending concerts whenever she can.
