Matt is originally from Fort Worth, Texas, but spent most of his childhood moving throughout the country with his Air Force family. He's spent most of his life poolside as a competitive swimmer, lifeguard, and swim instructor/coach. He attended Texas A&M University and studied biology, with a focus in zoology. He also has extensive experience in business logistics, maintenance, and farming. Matt met his wife Kalee in Denver and they moved to Montrose in 2019. They have a 5-year-old son and a yellow lab, and have really enjoyed raising their family in this small & friendly mountain town!  Matt enjoys whitewater rafting, fishing, golf, and most outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer.
