Crafters Day

Ceramic Workshop
An open clay studio. Participants will be offered instruction and advice from an experienced ceramic artist, or they may work on their own projects. Kiln availability and some materials are provided. Rex Halterman has conducted several previous ceramics workshops at the Senior Center, and has gotten rave reviews. Please call Rex at 970-596-1098 if you are interested in signing up for the class.

Black Canyon Woodcarvers Group

Bring your UFO's (unfinished objects) and socialize while you work. Make new friends with similar talents and interests. Stuck? Get help with your project from other crafters. No project? Friday Afternoon Art
With Kate Burke, who believes we all have a creative spirit and should enjoy ways to explore and embrace it. Materials provided, no experience needed, and all levels welcome. Includes snack and soft drink.
All Classes are Fridays, 1-3 pm. Cost: $40/per person/per class. Registration is required, as class size is limited.
Rock Painting. For your garden or Indoor Décor. Liven up your garden or paint fun rocks to place around the house or put indoor flowerpots. Everything provided, including paint, stickers, bling, and a selection of rocks. Or bring your own rocks to paint (washed first, please). Soft drink and snack included.

Step-by-step instructions (and templates if needed) to paint a mountain landscape with flowing water and wildflowers. All levels welcome. You are also welcome to bring your own picture or photograph to paint during the class. Soft drink and snack included.

Yes, you can paint with pencils! Step-by-step instructions to draw, then paint with pencil, and fill it in with brushed-on watercolor. Or, for the more experienced, bring your own idea and we’ll help you “paint” it on watercolor paper. We’ll provide the special pencils and watercolor papers. Snacks include colorful M&Ms.

One of our favorites. Lots of fun stuff to make a wreath: ghosts, goblins, witches, black cats, orange pumpkins, florals, ribbons, and spooky bling. Really fun class. Wreath and all the decorations provided along with assembly tools. You’re welcome to bring some decorations of your own to add as well. Themed cookies and apple cider provided.
