Generation Wild is a statewide initiative created by Great Outdoors Colorado to connect kids and families with outdoor experiences and inspire time in nature. Partners of Generation of the Wild of the Uncompahgre (GWU) offer low-cost programs, expand equitable access, and support local youth and families through activities and partnerships that build lifelong outdoor connections.
The members that make up the Montrose-area Generation Wild of the Uncompahgre coalition are committed to providing fun, long-lasting, and affordable outdoor programs that increase access to the outdoors, break down barriers, and create a sense of ownership and stewardship towards Colorado's outdoor areas and activities.
