Miller grew up in central Missouri playing competitive baseball and a variety of recreational sports. He played baseball for Westminster College in Fulton, MO and graduated in 2017 with bachelors degrees in Education and Political Science. After five years teaching middle schoolers and coaching high school baseball, Miller moved to Estes Park and worked at the YMCA of the Rockies as a climbing facilitator, programs coordinator, and environmental education instructor while earning his Masters in Recreation Management from Northwest Missouri State University. He moved to Montrose in December of 2022 to begin his career with the MRD. In his free time Miller enjoys hiking, backpacking, fly fishing, planning trips, and exercising, and he hopes to one day conquer his fear of heights by climbing to the top of every Colorado 14er.
