Welcome to the Montrose Recreation District Mascot page! We are creating a mascot for the MRD, complete with an animal character, name, graphic design, and of course, the all-important mascot suit. You can look forward to seeing the mascot, in character, at the ball fields or the Rec Center, having fun with the spectators and hyping up the players.
Please help us select the mascot by voting for the animal you want to see as the mascot.
Before you cast your vote, check out these examples of what your choices could look like. These are just initial designs, though, and the final graphic will change. Just imagine them with MRD swag on!
Ways to Vote
Do your civic duty to increase fun in Montrose with the new mascot!
Vote in person at the Community Recreation Center. There will be a booth by the front desk.
We ask that everyone only votes one time.
Voting ends May 1st, so get your vote in. Once the votes close, we will create a final design of the winning choice, and you should be ready to see the mascot in person on the fields or at the Community Recreation Center this July, just in time for Parks and Recreation Month. Check back in here for updates.
