Laurie is a long time coach and teacher who started working for the MRD in 2022. She graduated from Western Colorado University with a BA in Elementary Education/Teaching and taught Physical Education in grades K-12 for 28 years in the Montrose County School District. She started supervising, officiating and working Adult and Youth sports before being hired as the Adult Recreation Leader in March 2026. When not working for CRC, she enjoys time with her daughters and two grandsons, cooking, and keeping up with the greenhouse at her school.
