This RFP is intended to procure a tractor and related attachments / implements for the MRD in order to perform property and maintenance throughout the MRD’s service areas. For the past 20 years, the District has utilized a high profile tractor to perform turf weed abatement with an attached 110 gallon spray rig with booms and a spray gun. The tractor has been fitted with a forklift attachment for moving pallets, dumpsters, boulders, mulch, and other heavy materials. The MRD is also seeking the additional utility of a front loader bucket, rear backhoe, new forks and new spray rig attachments.

RFP for Flex Rec Service Provider

The Montrose Recreation District (MRD) is seeking innovative proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide on-site fitness, wellness and/or therapy services at MRD’s Flex Rec Facility on the Colorado Outdoors campus. Services can include but are not limited to treatments, consulting, training and seminars. Term is for one year with the option to renew for three one-year renewal periods. Companies and individuals interested in pursuing this opportunity must provide the following in the form of a business proposal:

  • Demonstrated Ability to Meet Requirements

The Montrose Recreation District is located approximately 60 miles south of Grand Junction on the Western Slope of Colorado and comprises the District of Montrose as well as surrounding areas. The new Flex Rec is MRD’s newest facility is located on the Colorado Outdoors Campus. Flex Rec is the “MRD's new home for advanced functional fitness. With athletes and outdoor enthusiasts in mind, programming includes high-intensity, strength, and agility based classes to push mental and physical limits. Bring your goals, grit, and a good attitude.” The new facility is scheduled to open in late fall 2022

RFP for Pool Audit

The Montrose Recreation District, hereinafter referred to as the MRD, is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced professional consultants with backgrounds in aquatics, recreation, architecture, engineering and similar professions to provide services related to an comprehensive condition audit of the Field House Swimming Pool outdoor facility. The intent of this request for proposal is to retain a firm/consultant to develop options in a comprehensive facility condition audit that will guide the MRD and community stakeholders in producing a capital plan for the Field House Swimming Pool improvements. This Agreement consists of this document, the Request for Proposal, Field House Swimming Pool Facility Condition Audit, together with any additional information and addendum provided by the Owner relating thereto. Questions regarding RFP requirements must be received by Miguel Lopez, Parks and Maintenance Superintendent through email at miguel@montrosere.com by 5:00pm MT on Friday, February 10, 2023. Late questions will not receive responses. THE DEADLINE FOR ALL PROPOSALS is Friday, February 17, 2023 at 5:00pm MST. Any Proposal not received before the date and time specified shall not be accepted. Faxes of proposals will not be accepted. Parties must submit their proposal via email to miguel@montroserec.com. Parties may also choose to submit a paper proposal in addition to the emailed proposal.
