Position: Youth Recreation Coordinator

A Day in the life of: "I am the Youth Recreation Coordinator, which means any time there is a youth sport or activity, I am responsible for making sure all aspects are in place. This means making sure facilities are prepared; dividing players into teams; finding coaches; training officials; scorekeepers and supervisors; getting equipment ready; and making sure the quality of the program is at a high level."

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Economics and Sport Management from Cornell College in Mount Vernon, IA.

Why Recreation: "I got involved in recreation thanks in large part to my parents who encouraged me to participate in every sport/activity that our local recreation district offered when I was young. Much of what I am doing today is due to the fact that I grew up playing sports year round."
