The Montrose Recreation District is looking for seasonal maintenance workers. Duties would include grounds keeping, general maintenance duties and general equipment repair. Manual labor and heavy lifting is required. The following positions are open until filled.

Summer Enrichment Program Leader

Group Leaders

Group Aides

 

Summer Enrichment is a program designed for children ages 6 to 10 and 11 to 14 years old. The program provides a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for youth to encourage a healthy lifestyle and promote fun, safety and learning during the summer months.

 

Persons interested in pursuing education or child development are encouraged to apply. Applicants for the Program & Group Leader positions must be 21 years of age and applicants for the aid position must be 16 years of age.

 

Qualifications:

MRD is looking for applicants with the following qualities: people skills, experience working with and leading youth groups and a youth programming background. First Aid/CPR training and Certification is preferred, but can be provided upon employment. Teens, adults and seniors are all encouraged to apply. Positions are open until filled. EOE.

 

Hours:

Positions require work Monday – Thursday, approximately 25 hours per week during daytime hours.

Skateboard Clinic Instructor:

 

Skateboard Clinic Instructor

 

The Montrose Recreation District needs an enthusiastic, mature and knowledgeable person to teach Montrose area youth how to skateboard.  The instructor will get 70% of total registration fees. Date of clinics are June 10 and June 13, 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Baldridge Skate Park.

 

Teen, adults and seniors are all encouraged to apply. Applicants must be able to work and communicate well with children. Positions are open until filled. EOE.
