Position: Recreation Programming Manager

A Day in the life of: "I am responsible for overseeing all aspects of recreational programming and services of the district, including: adult and youth sports, liesure activities, recreation activities, aquatics, 50+ programs, health & wellness programs, outdoor recreation and special events. I work closely with the Recreation Team and support staff to address the needs of our patrons."

Education & Experience: Bachelors of Science in Physical Education from the University of Colorado. Over 30 years experience in recreation.

Hometown: Hotchkiss, CO

Why Recreation: "While working for the recreation department at the University of Colorado, I saw the pleasure and benefit that everyone derived from participating in the many different programs and activities that we had to offer at the university. I can also see many similarities between public education and recreation as professions. Both provide children and adults an opportunity to learn new lifetime skills."
